Elderberry Truffles

Since dark chocolate is always the classy option for Valentine's Day, I made a truffle recipe using immune boosting elderberry syrup. Fudgy chocolate truffles with an herbal twist? Count me in!

I used Sweet's Syrups Elderberry Syrup. Sweet's Syrups uses the highest quality organic elderberries, local honey, and a delicious mix of spices. Elderberry Truffle Recipe:
1 heaping cup chocolate chips of your choice, I like Kirkland brand and Enjoy Life (both dairy-free)
1/3 cup coconut cream or organic half and half
1/3 cup raw cacao powder + a little extra for rolling
4 TB Sweet's Syrups or Elderberry Syrup

1. Melt all ingredients on low heat, stirring frequently so it doesn't burn.
2. Pour into a greased bowl and set in fridge for 2 hours.
3. Scrape rounded teaspoonfuls out of the bowl and roll in raw cacao.
4. Keep in fridge until ready to eat or freezer.

Enjoy!
